The catuaba tree is a small tree with orange and yellow flowers in Brazil. Catuaba bark contains alkaloids, tannins, aromatic oils, falconoid etc. Researchers found that catuaba contains antiviral and antibacterial compounds. For generations, indigenous people have used catuaba bark as an aphrodisiac, in addition, they also consume it for many other health benefits such as lessening pain, improving memory, calming anxiety and alleviating fatigue. People usually consume catuaba bark by boiling the bark to make a tea, or take it in capsules, tincture, or powder form.
Our catuaba powder is of "Trichilia catigua" specie, the true catuaba.
